The Last Song
by Nicholas Sparks
My stars: 5
Here we have again another great book by Mr. Sparks. I truly enjoyed it from the beginning to the end, Yes be ready for a Sad ending. If you have read his books in the past there is always a sad ending. Actually its a Sad but Happy Ending if you understand what that means. i recommend it to anyone. My 1st actual book from Sparks was "Dear John" and He is one of my new Favorite authors.
I have seen many movies based on his books, but never pick up the actual book. I can only imagine how great the books are now that I have read 2 books by him.
I will be reading soon from my to-read pile another Sparks book called "The Lucky One" which will also bemade into a movie I read somewhere.
The Story is a great story based in the south by the ocean, The Main Characters are Ronnie and Will and Ronnie's dad Steve.
Here is the Book's Description:
Seventeen year old Veronica "Ronnie" Miller's life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Three years later, she remains angry and alientated from her parents, especially her father...until her mother decides it would be in everyone's best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie's father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story of love on many levels--first love, love between parents and children -- that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that love can break our hearts...and heal them.

ReplyDeleteAwesome, Its really good
ReplyDeleteI've been reading him for years and although I can't say I'm a fan of every single one of his books, I have read them all and know what you mean about those endings that require a box-o-kleenex. I actually thought this was one of his better books. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteBTW, blog is looking spiffy. I like!
