DVD Movie Review
The Wolfman
Directed by: Joe Johnson
Runtime: 103 minutes
Starring: Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt
My Stars: 2 stars
I will begin that I am a big fan of the Wolf, but this movie left me hanging. I thought it was very slow paced. I didn't really enjoy the story plot. The honest truth, I fell asleep watching it. I actually bought this movie and now I wished I had just rented it instead.
Product Description: Academy Award® winners Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs) and Benicio Del Toro (Traffic) tear up the screen in this action-packed thriller. Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) is lured back to his family estate to investigate the savage murder of his brother by a bloodthirsty beast. There, Talbot must confront his childhood demons, his estranged father (Hopkins), his brother’s grieving fiancée (Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada) and a suspicious Scotland Yard Inspector (Hugo Weaving, The Matrix Trilogy). When Talbot is bitten by the creature, he becomes eternally cursed and soon discovers a fate far worse than death. Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins.

Thanks for the review. I've been wondering about this one. Sounds like I should pass.
ReplyDeleteBTW Your blog is looking seriously awesome :)
Great review...short sweet and to the point, unlike the movie. I actually saw it in theaters when it came out and truth be told, was not impressed. Sad too considering some of the cast, but alas everyone is in a "bomb" movie now and again. Here's hoping your next trip down in the red carpet is more of a trip and less of a fall.
