Good mystery from the beginning, keeps you guessing to the end. The main character is portrait to be realistic even though she has the power to see ghost. She has a special relationship with a ghost that helps her at the end and keeps the story fun. I am partial about the location of the story, Key West is full of mystery and history and the author points it out beautifully. The place has a pull on the local players that can only be explained by someone that is born in a place with this history and can never be completely out of your blood, it keeps pulling you home. They come back as adults to have closure and solve the mystery and suspense that followed them now.

Synopsis: There are those who walk among us, no longer alive, but not yet crossed over. They seek retribution...vengeance...to warn. Among the living, few intuit their presence.

Katie MacDonald is one who can.

As she's drawn deeper and deeper into a gruesome years-old murder, whispered warnings from a spectral friend become more and more insistent. But Katie must uncover the truth: could David Beckett really be guilty of his fiancée's murder?

Worse-the body count's rising on the Island of Bones, and the dead seem to be reenacting some macabre tableaux from history. The danger is increasing by the moment-especially as Katie finds herself irresistibly drawn to David, who may be responsible more than just one killing....

Did you read this on a Kindle? (I see you got it from NetGalley - and I haven't made the leap yet to an eReader. Just curious)
