Summary: (from goodreads) Calla is the alpha female of a shape-shifting wolf pack. She is destined to marry Ren Laroche, the pack's alpha male. Together, they would rule their pack together, guarding sacred sites for the Keepers. But then, Calla saves a beautiful human boy, who captures her heart. Calla begins to question everything - her fate, her existence, and her world and the orders the Keepers have asked her to follow. She will have to make a choice. But will she follow her heart if it means losing everything, including her own life?

Captavating, Enchanting, Spellbound those are the 1st words that come to my mind about Nightshade. As soon as I read the first few sentences, I was mezmorzied and there was no turning back. I read Nightshade in less than 24 hours. The way Andrea wrote this thrilling story. I felt as if I were part of the pack. Andrea writes so honestly that you feel you are the one changing or running or just simply falling in love. I am now one of Andrea biggest fans and can't wait to read more books by her.

Nightshade is a beautiful and thrilling story about wolves and their packs. The story is told from Calla Tor POV, she is the alpha female of The Nightshade pack. Calla is destined to be mated to Ren who is the alpha of the Bane pack. They have always know they would be paired since they were born. There pairing is to bring both their packs together and create a new young strong pack. Calla you will read is not sold on the notion at all, she has many doubts and fears. She is a strong and very protective female and loves her pack very much. She is torn between what her upbringing has taught her to believe and what her heart tells her. Then we meet Shay, the new guy that Calla met in the worst way possible and if ever found out would put her life in jeaopardy. Shay ends up going to the same school as both packs and little by little becomes friends with the packs. Calla and the rest of the wolves have been given orders to protect Shay and become his friend, thats when Calla starts to questions things in the order of the pack while dealing with her future mate Ren and  Shay the human who makes her heart skip a beat.

I honestly loved every details of these wolves. The wolf mythology used by Andrea is perfect, I wouldnt change anything about them. The ending left off with a surprise and you can say cliffhanger, that now I will be counting the days till the second book in the series is released. One word to describe this book and that word is MAGICAL!
