This is the Second book of the Fallen Angel Series and I must say this was an awesome book. It had everything, love, suspense, action and a little bit of magic too. I totally recommend this book, but I suggest you read Covet before picking this one up.
Isaac Rothe, an assassin in XOps gone AWOL shows up in Boston and is MMA fighting to save up money to get out of the United States . During his last fight, cops come running in and is arrested and taken to jail. There he meets top Boston attorney Grier Childe who gives her time to do pro bono work for the city of Boston . Grier is a beautiful smart woman and doesn’t understand why she puts her life on the line to save Isaac and will do whatever it takes to help him, even if she doesn’t know what she is helping him with. Meanwhile, they fall in love and that’s where trouble begins.
Jim Heron former XOps assassin now full time angel is still out to find the second person whose soul he has to save from the evil, but beautiful, Devina. In the last book, Matthias, Jim’s former boss tells Jim he has to Kill Isaac Rothe, his former XOp partner. Soon Jim and his two biker, ear pierced angel buddies realize that Isaac is the second person and that they are going to have to act fast and get to him before Matthias and Devina get to him first.
Summary: Seven deadly sins. Seven souls that must be saved. One more no-holds- barred battle between a fallen angel with a hardened heart and a demon with everything to lose.
Isaac Rothe is a black ops soldier with a dark past and a grim future. The target of an assassin, he finds himself behind bars, his fate in the hands of his gorgeous public defender Grier Childe. His hot attraction to her can only lead to trouble-and that's before Jim Heron tells him his soul is in danger. Caught up in a wicked game with the demon who shadows Jim, Isaac must decide whether the soldier in him can believe that true love is the ultimate weapon against evil.
Vin is not in this story at all? I was afraid of that! He was my favorite character in Covet.
