What a sequel, I have never experience so much anger in a book. This book was like riding the Archangel at the fair at Delphic. I was completely plunged in to the pages of Crescendo. It was nothing like the 1st book in the series. The new twist and turns that were written in by Becca are great. At one point in the book I really just wanted to throw the book across the room, not because the book was bad but because I was so deep in the situation with the characters they had me upset just like them. I wanted to jump in the book and slap either Patch or Nora.
Crescendo starts with Patch as Nora's new guardian Angel. Nora begins to see these visions and starts getting special deliveries sent to her. All the while trying to figure out what to do with Patch and not getting him sent to Hell. Of course throw in Marcie her oldest enemy in to that batch and you got one big old mess going down. Thank goodness Vee is back and keeping up with her snarky one liners, Love her. Vee starts dating Patch's best friend Rixon. If you are ready to be taken on one crazy roller coaster that at the end leaves you dangling, then grab Crescendo and read on. I am very excited to read the conclusion of this story when Tempest comes out next October.
Summary: Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but atleast she got a guardian angel out of it: a mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But, despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever and even worse, he's started spending time with Nora's arch-enemy, Marcie Millar.
Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Path hadnt been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feeling that he's hiding something.
Haunted by images of her murdered father, and questioning whether her nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death, Nora puts herself increasingly in dangerous situations as she desperatly searches for answers. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.(from goodreads)
Yara's Review for Hush, Hush Book
I didn't like this book, but glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteCherry how come?
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading Crescendo and I completely understand the desire to fling this book and/or slap Nora. I read during my train commute and I find myself closing the book in exasperation, but then picking it back up because I have to know what happens next!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how she does it, but Becca does a great job of having me feel invested in Nora and Patch.
i absolutely loved this book! i cannot wait to read Silence! Great review by the way!!
