This was such a sweet and funny movie. I didn't think it was going to be so great even though I love Julia Roberts. I thought it was going to drag, but little did I know. The movie was full of energy , love and beautiful places to see. Julia Roberts did a great job as her part. I also enjoyed very much the Medicine man in Bali, he was very funny even with the missing teeth. It's a shame I didn't get to read the book first, Im sure I would have loved it since the movie was great. This is a great movie to watch with the family or your girlfriends. The different places you get to see are just amazing, I fell in love with Bali. You even get a little bit of Italian tutoring while you watch it.
Plot: Elizabeth Gilbert (Julia Roberts) had everything a modern woman is supposed to dream of having - a husband (Billy Crudup), a house, a successful career - yet like so many others, she found herself lost, confused, and searching for what she really wanted in life. Newly divorced and at a crossroads, Gilbert steps out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life, embarking on a journey around the world that becomes a quest for self-discovery. In her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of true love in Bali.(from Wikipedia)
I think Im going to watch the movie now. I wasnt sure if it was worth watching, but I take your word for it. I will let you know what I think. :) Thanks Yara!
