Top ten memorable moments in high school/college

10. My first overnight cross-country ski trip with girlfriends. It was like a slumber party X 10!

9. Cheating on a vocabulary quiz L (in honors English) and getting caught.

8. Dressing as a flapper on Halloween with my best friend, and winning first place in the costume contest. We won a bag of pumpkin shaped candies.

7. Asking a boy to the prom junior year. He turned me down. Waah.

6. Asking a boy to the prom the next year. He said yes. On my birthday!

5. Sneaking out to go cruising with girlfriends senior year. We lived in the suburbs, but still managed to make it fun. One time, we picked up some USC track stars at a Lyon’s Diner and took them for a walk in a local cemetery.

4. Nearly dying of hypothermia in a hailstorm after climbing Mt. Conness in the Sierras.

3. Meeting my true love in a poetry class in college.

2. Getting married to my true love three years later.

1. Calling a tow truck at midnight because our car broke down on our way to the honeymoon. I was still in my wedding dress.
