Once Upon: What inspired you to write your first book?

Heidi: Boredom probably. And stories refusing to leave my head.

Once Upon: Describe your typical day?

Heidi: Lots of multitasking! Get up, get kids ready for school, get partially presentable. I write at coffee shops usually while my daughter is at preschool. I practice yoga which really helps keep things balance. I try to get online stuff done while my daughter naps, then my son comes home and I do kid/family stuff until they are in bed. Try and write a bit more or watch TV. Research! 

Once Upon: Describe yourself in 5 words?

Heidi: Oh boy. Okay. Um. Never mind I can't do it. How about you ask a friend to describe me?

Once Upon: Do you believe in love at first sight? describe your answer.

Heidi: I believe in instant connections, yes. It has happened to me numerous times. I'm not sure if that initial feeling/experience is necessarily *love* but it is very real, and usually if the connection is pursued, meaning, if the relationship is allowed to develop further, it does become a form of love. 

Once Upon: Where do you hope to take your writing in the future?

Heidi: To the moon.

Once Upon: If you could leave your readers with one legacy, what would you want it to be? 

Heidi: Wow. These are great questions. I would like them to remember me as a writer who wrote for THEM. I love making my readers happy and will continue to strive for throughout my career.
