Wow.! They look delectable and delicious.. I'm already drooling. My favorite birthday is every birthday because I get to share it with my twin sister. There is no better birthday gift then a biological best friend.:)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteUsually we don't really do much for my birthday - ever. My 21st birthday though my boyfriend proposed so that was about as special as a birthday can get.
My best birthday was my 40th! My newborn preemie was home. It was my first bithday with my now complete family.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Yara! *throws confetti & blows party horns*
ReplyDeleteThanks for the special cupcake birthday give away. RED VELVET is my favorite!~ Oh my gosh yum!! (if I dont win, can you tell me who this company is please?????)
Favorite birthday: When I turned 25, everyone was teasing me about being a quarter of a century old. So my husband threw a HUGE party for me. He even cooked Prime Rib for everyone. It was EPIC. Seriously epic. We had a huge turn out & partied into the early hours of the next day. It was the BEST birthday party ever. Celebrating a birthday, no matter how old you or how you celebrate is so important to me! What a perfect event to celebrate...your own life!!
Enjoy your day!
I absolutely love red velvet cake and cupcakes so I would LOVE to win this prize. My most memorable birthday was when I turned 40. I took my sweetie and I to New York City. On my birthday, we went down to Rockefeller Plaza to see the Today show live (Matt LeBlanc was a guest that day and he waved at me.) That night my sweetie took me to the 21 club for dinner and then we went and saw Wicked on Broadway. It was a most awesome birthday and made me not quite as traumatized to turn 40.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was in 1995, my 23rd birthday. Guy blindfolded me to take me out to a special dinner. We shared a bottle of Dom Perignon and just before our overpriced dessert he gave me my present. He got down on one knee with a diamond ring and proposed. Obviously, I said yes!
ReplyDelete@Chris that does sound like fun to always have someone to share it with.
ReplyDelete@Darla that would definitely be the best birthday ever.
@Laura Ah that is very sweet and yes it makes it special. Congrats on the complete family.
@Mindy WOW that did sound slike a real awesome party! Yey for Hubby!
ReplyDelete@Suzy New York and Birthday does sound good together.
@ Angela Guy is a winner just by doing it on your bday!
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteAll my birthdays are special because I was born on July 4th. No lie. So I get fireworks and a 3 day weekend for my birthday every year.
@Stephanie You are truly lucky! Best day to be born, lol
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Mine was yesterday :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was probably my 21st in 2006. I went to Las Vegas and had a blast!
There are a couple special bdays I've had. like a couple yrs ago I had an 80s themed party and everyone enthusiastically dressed up. Even the guys, which normally aren't the dressing up type. And then last yr I decided not to do anything for my birthday and my friends decided that it just couldn't go by unnoticed so we had an impromptu bonfire and they got me a pinata. I walked away with a ton of candy. :D
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! You know I gotta try to win these...
ReplyDeleteJen
Happy Birthday, and thanks for sharing the cake!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday ever was my 33, I had just found out that I was finally pregnant, after years of trying, procedures, meds, you name it. We shared with our families and it was a day like no other! 6 weeks later we found it was TWINS!! Huge shock.
Red Velvet is the best, I hope I win!
Happy Happy Birthday Yara!!
ReplyDeleteThose cupcakes look especially scrumptious -- they're making my mouth water! :)
Hmm -- special birthday? I've never really had a special birthday. With mine falling between Christmas & New Years, it's often forgotten (even by my own mother)! :) If I had to say one, though, I'd have to say my 27th in 1998. It was my first birthday with my newborn daughter, who always makes me smile & makes my heart fuller than it feels it can be.
Hope you have the best day ever!!
I just dropped by to say...
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!!!
Hugs!!!!
So exciting! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThose look so delicious! i love cupcakes. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! My grandmom's birthday is tomorrow and my friend's birthday was yesterday.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday is when it falls either on Mother's Day or Friday the 13th. I love sharing my birthday and celebrating Mother's Day with my grandmom, it makes the day extra special.
Happy Birthday Yara!!!!! :) What a really neat contest/birthday idea. Thanks for offering.
ReplyDeleteCupcakes are the best. And those look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!

@ Isabella very sweet to spend it with your daughter
@Patty ooh Friday the 13th would be fun
@Brenda you know me!
A special birthday I had was just last year when some friends that I haven't seen in a long time all got together to have dinner and a night adventure. We drove all over the city and did a random cake stop at a grocery store! Best night ever!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
Hope you are having a wonderful birthday!
ReplyDeleteFav birthday ever- i was 10 - my grandmother rented a chinese restaurant for me and my friends and we ate by candlelight - then she told us all old funny stories about her growing up - loved it.

Best bday was my 30th. My bestie and I planned a trip to Cabo with a big group of friends. Rented a house, played on the beach, rode ATVs. It was a great time and a memory I will always cherish.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! :D I hope it's a great one!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was my 7th. We had it outside at a park. I got to wear a super cool birthday hat and we gave out books instead of gift bags. It was awesome.
They look really good!!
ReplyDeleteI favorite Birthday was when I turned the BIG 40! My sister gave me an oyster roast party! The place was all decorated in a Low Country theme! I loved it! (and the creek in Murrells Inlet ~ Myrtle Beach of course!)

Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteOne year, my boyfriend took me to a fondue restaurant and we had the most lovely fondue ^.^
YUM! My surprise birthday gift last year couldn't have come at a better time. My family was going through something aweful and my husband, behind my back, rallied the troops and had everyone donate to buy one big gift for me, and that was.....to go to my VERY FIRST WRITERS CONFERENCE. I was very excited, as you can probably imagine. My husband never fails to suprise me.
ReplyDeletekathrynroberts at hotmail dot com
I don't like to do much for my birthday. So as long as my husband remembers :) and I hang with my friends, then it's always special :)
ReplyDeleteAw, I hope you have a great birthday!
ReplyDeleteMy husband's birthday and my birthday are really close to each other, so as an early birthday gift (back when my husband was still just my boyfriend), he took me to see New Moon on his birthday. It was so sweet and thoughtful of him...the was the only guy in the theater on opening day, lol.
Even now when I look back at pictures of my 10th birthday party I smile. Having a birthday in Aug was almost the kiss of death as far as my elementary school aged self thought. Other kids whose birthdays fell during the school year could enjoy SLUMBER parties over a weekend, then the joys of the party would be recounted on the Monday at school following the party. Not so for those of us whose birthdays fell during summer vacation. However the summer I turned 10 I had a swimming party for my birthday. There is a picture of me, my arms casually drapped around my best friends, my head tossed back in laughter and huge birthday cake on the table in front of me, 10 candles blazing. I love that kid with the laughter so vividlly expressed in that picture.

My favorite birthday was a year that Easter fell on my birthday. (I just googled it--it was 1986.) That year, my mother made an awesome Barbie cake for me, but dressed her as Little Bo Peep and made two little lambs out of cake, too. It was so gorgeous--I didn't want to even eat that cake, which is saying something!
ReplyDeleteI will always remember the special effort that my mother took in creating that special day for me. Thanks, Mom!
Happy B-day!!!
ReplyDeleteMy special b-day was the first one after I got married 15 years ago. I was married in India and, per tradition, I was living with hubby's family.
My brother-in-law woke me up at midnight. They had brought a cake. Hubby made me some special Indisn coffee, and gifted me a book, GONE WITH THE WIND.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE birthdays. I don't know if I have a special birthday because all of my birthdays have been special in one way or another. I do remember my 18th birthday. My boyfriend threw me a big birthday bash at his house for me. He got everything for the party ready all by himself. He invited all my high school friends and my friends from college. It was definitely a blast.
Happy Birthday!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could leave what you asked for; but in all honesty, I haven't had a good birthday in years. Plus, mine is the day before Christmas, so I'm more focused on my kids getting Santa...
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Birthday was last year when me and my twin sister celebrated it together for the first time in years. We had a blast!

ReplyDeleteMy fav birthday would be my 22nd birthday!!!
Happy Birthday Yara!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was probably my 21st (last year). All of my friends were already 21, so I was the baby of the bunch. We went out to dinner, had a few drinks, and then went to a casino. It was a blast!!
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best!
My favorite birthday is every birthday!
I get to spend it with my family and friends and just have an awesome day with the people that matter!
Those cupcakes look yummy!
My special birthday was my 15. I was eating out with friends and then went to catch a flick, but we couldn't decide on anything. We just stayed in the theatre for about 2 hours just talking. It wasn't a big deal but sometimes you can have fun by just talking and without doing much.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. :)
Happy Birthday Yara!
ReplyDeleteThose cupcakes look yummy. I love cupcakes. As for my last birthday, well, they are all great and special. I am not one of those people who don't like their birthdays. I love to be fussed over! The best birthday to me is one where I'm treated like the birthday princess. lol
Thanks for the giveaway. :)
Happy Birthday! My favorite birthday was when I lived in Italy. I was house and car-sitting for two American teachers while they were each on vacation. I had a houseful of friends over for a rooftop party in a luxury penthouse including a grand piano :) Good food, good friends, and lots of fun and presents! *Thanks* for the giveaway!

My favorite birthday has to have been my 22nd. I went to a ceramics place called You Do the Dishes with 20 of my friends. It was so much fun; we had the whole back room to ourselves and everyone contributed a tile to my mirror so now I have an awesome bday present forever!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win those yummy yummy looking cupcakes!

Every year for my birthday I tell my family that I want a pony and a puppy, being the lifelong princess that I am. This year I was blindfolded and driven around, I assumed it was to a restaurant or something for a surprise party. Instead I was taken to a pet store and was told to pick out any puppy I wanted.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! I hope yours ends up being just as special. :)
My favorite birthday was when my son was younger, he saved his money, and took me out to lunch.
ReplyDeletetwoofakind12@yahoo.com
ZOMG! Red velvet cupcakes are my fave. And those look DELiSH!
ReplyDeleteMy most special birthday ever is my most recent one, last November. My fiance planned a big surprise dinner and invited all of my college friends that I hadn't seen in over a year. :)

Yum!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I were in a long distance relationship when I was in college. He was in a band touring the US and I was going to school. A week before my birthday, he was home (in AZ) and flew me out and took me to the Grand Canyon. It was such a special and amazing treat!
We are still happily together, and he came to see me graduate (in TX) last May. :)

PS...I love chocolate!!!
Hope you had an amazing birthday! I can't really remember any special birthdays (funny how the bad ones are the ones that stick out), but the year I turned 13 my mom took me and a bunch of my friends up to our property in the Poconos for a weekend. That was pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteI took all my friends to the beach. There we had a bonfire and BBQ. Now that was awesome!!
ReplyDeleteMy best birthday was when my husband arranged a hot air balloon trip. Beautiful!!

Happy Birthday!! :) I can't really think of any one birthday that was really special...but this year my sister made me an awesome cake and had balloons and bought me some books. That's pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteMy birthdays are low key. I loved last year because I had a bf (now my fiance) and prior to that I hadn't been in a good relationship during my birthday.

ReplyDeleteHad to redo my comment since I forgot to tell about a memorable bday...oops! Anyway, happy Birthday...a couple of days late! Hope you had a wonderful day.
ReplyDelete=O)
My most memorable birthday was my eleventh. My parents bought me tickets to see the Nutcracker, my most favorite ballet! It was really special and one of the reasons I really remember it is because the performance was in December (my birthday is in October) and we lived in Michigan. It snowed all day that day and we almost didn't get to go because of it, but luckily, we made it. It was wonderful and still remains my favorite ballet.
Thanks for the yummy giveaway!

Happy Birthday! :) A special birthday I had once was when my friends and I had a picture scavenger hunt in the mall. We got kicked out of a store for kissing a Johnny Depp cut out on the cheat. It was really funny.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteOne of my most memorable was in first grade when my mom wrapped everything in my lunch. Sounds silly I know, but it just stuck with me.
O.M.G. I see yummy cupcakes!!! My mouth is watering... :D
ReplyDeleteMy most special birthday was the one I celebrated in China with my family. I usually never see family members out of my immediate family, so it was nice to spend my special day with them. :)
iLive, iLaugh, iLove Books
I had a great bday last year when my co-workers filled my cubical with balloons and wrapped up the door so they could fall out. I had to work in that all day and every time i got up, a balloon would pop and scare the crap out of me. It was a fun day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you!
Loni @acasaulreader
