This is a short and sweet beginning to 13 to Life series. I can't really say, a lot take places because it doesn't. You did get to meet Jessie, Amy and Sarah. It gets you set up for 13 to Life. I rnjoyed the way Shannon delivered this short prequel, and do plan on reading the series. So if you haven't starte dthe series like me, then I would suggest reading this prequel as well.

I haven't read this yet but plan to. Not much happens in 13 to Life either but I thought it had a lot of potential,especially for the next installment. I can't wait to read book #2 Secrets and Shadows because I think there will be a lot more action, more of a love story, and more werewolves.
