Summary: (from goodreads) Lucie's birthday is on Friday.

That also happens to be the day that she has to save the world from Darkness.

A young adult fantasy novel, The Prophecy is the first of four books in the Between Souls Series. It tells the story of Lucie, a high school sophomore who has to figure out how she will use the ancient knowledge her family has protected for generations to fulfill The Prophecy and save the world from Darkness -- fast. She only has four days to determine who she can trust and who is about to betray her. Appropriate for middle school students through adults, it's an introduction to the series for readers who like darker fantasies with romantic complications.

The Prophecy First I want to say that I really liked the cover of the book. I loved the gray tones that set the mood for the plot in the book. Now the book, I thought fell short. Although the book has an excellent plot, it felt rushed and therefore I didn’t get a chance to connect with any of the characters. Maybe if the book was a little longer, it would have helped to develop the characters and their relationships better.
