Teen Book Con Recap
What a great way to spend a Saturday. Trudy and myself headed to Teen Book Con, we arrived a tad late and missed Deb Caletti's opening chat. I heard it was great. So we finally arrive and register and what do you know. Teen Book Con is giving ARCs away when you arrive. That was a unexpected perk. We then head down to Blue Willows shop area and buy books just in case they would run out later. Then we head straight to the first panel which was Here there be Ghost and Werewolves and everything else. This panel included Andrea Cremer, Rachel Hawkins, Stacey Kade, Saundra Mitchell and Joy Preble. It was so much fun and interesting to listen to this group of authors. The audience asked great questions.
Then after that panel it was luch break, so we were able to meet up with some of my friends and TX bloggers. It was great seeing Mundie Moms, Girls in the Stacks, Between the Covers, Page Turners and many more. Once we all had our Pizzas we then head to the next panel.

So now we attend the The Lighter Side, with Some Bumps Along the Way panel. This panel consisted of Deb Caletti, Lindsey Leavitt, Stephanie Perkins and Kristen Tracy. Another great panel, and I was able to become familiar with new authors. Lindsey Leavitt is great and so funny. Stephanie Perkins was right in front of me and let me tell you , she rocks the blue hair like no one else. Deb Caletti was a breath of fresh air to listen to.
Then we were on to the next and last panel before the Author signing began. The panel was A Walk on the Dark Side with Gail Giles, Ellen Hopkins, Lauren Myracle and Elizabeth Scott. Can I just say what a panel it was. These ladies were a Hoot. If I tell ya they talk about Fluffy Bunnies you wouldn't believe me unless you were there.
So that concluded all the panel we could make it to before the signings. Now came the fun part of meeting all the authors. We went to several lines and met finally in person so many favorite authors. I also won one of the prizes being given away which included a ARC of Nightshade. I was in total fan girl mode. They were all great and I really liked how they recoginzed me some of them. This event was just pure fun. To see all the pictures I captured from the event CLICK HERE to view them on the blog's Facebook page.
Wow, this conference sounded awesome! I'm a relatively new blogger, and I didn't realize this conference was going on until the week of!
