Summary: (from goodreads) In the world of Sheridan Wells, life is perfect when she's decorating a cake. Unfortunately everything else is a complete mess: her mom ran off years ago, her dad is more interested in his restaurant, and the idea of a boyfriend is laughable.

But Sheridan is convinced finding her mom will solve all her problems - only her dad's about to get a cooking show in New York, which means her dream of a perfect family will be dashed.

Using just the right amount of romance, family drama, and cute boys, The Sweetest Thing will entice fans with its perfect mixture of girl-friendly ingredients.

Sheridan Wells is Cake Girl-she knows her way around a bakery and has a father who is a chef. Her dad is about to get a reality cooking television show, but it would mean they have to move to NYC.

I enjoyed this book and really liked the characters. Sheridan annoyed me a little at the beginning and a few times towards the middle with her constant search for her estranged mother. But when I tried to put myself in her shoes, i was able to understand her a little more and not get so annoyed.

Sheridan finds love, has great friends, and experiences a few surprises, both good and bad, throughout this book. Another thing I really loved was hearing about the cakes that she made and decorated-I could actually visualize how awesome they looked from the detailed descriptions that Christina wrote.
