It is definitely a very sad day in the book world. Today I opened up my email to find this letter in the inbox. It doesn't matter what store you shop at, just the fact that bookstores are now being hit by this horrible time in economy really sucks. So make sure you continue to shop and support your local stores where ever you buy books. Let's hope this doesn't happen again. Borders you will be missed. xoxo

I seriously started crying when I got this email today. Oh geez I'm tearing up again lol.
ReplyDeleteIts such a bummer. Border's has been a favorite of mine because its only a few blocks away and I can always grab a coffee while I'm browsing. If this happens to B&N I don't know what I'll do!

And now I'm even sadder about this than I was before! :-( I'm so gonna miss Borders!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH I WAS SO UPSET!!! The one by me already went out of business, but I'm hoping to get to another one before they go completely out. D:
ReplyDeleteNothing beats a bookstore and the rows of crisp, new, pages waiting to be explored. One more reason I am so resisting e-readers and media of the like. They only way to keep bookstores open is to shop them and support them, I find it hard to pass one and not stop. Keep our fingers crossed that the remining stores can stay strong.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I hate to think if Powerbooks closed shop or the chain of National Bookstores here in the country. :( Yes, support the nearest Borders. I always love handling the real book and the smell of page (esp the new ones) hehe.
