Once Upon a Signing: Amber from Page Turners

Once Upon a Book Signing

Today I bring you a friend and affiliate blogger, Amber from Page Turners blog. She is part of the team over there at Page Turners. Let's see which signing Amber loved.

Teen Book Con is hosted by the local Houston Indie book store Blue Willow Bookshop. The main point of Teen Book Con is to get kids involved - they have kids doing everything, photography, trailers, designs to inspire their talents by bringing their favorite authors to them. If you ever get the chance to go, it is a must. This is by far the best author signing I have ever been too, the setting is very laid back and friendly.

They have you sign in when you arrive to be entered in their plethora of door prizes; then they give you a free book. Technically its an arc, which is awesome, my daughter was ecstatic, she had a book that no one else had. Then you can head over an purchase books, from the authors who will be signing. After you get your books, you find a seat to listen to the keynote - which was given by Deb Caletti. Deb gave a wonderful keynote, she really connected with the audience. The authors are split into 5 groups, based on the genre of books they write. You pick and choose which Q&A's you want to attend, since we read more paranormal YA, that was my first choice. Teen Book Con is an all day event, after all the Q&A's are done the cafeteria is opened up for author signings.

So how did you guys like that, a video montage. You even get to see a picture of Rachel Hawkins and myself in there. This event I enjoyed as well, it was so much fun and very laid back. Make sure to visit the wonderful ladies of Page Turners and say Hello!

If you would like for your book signing to be featured on the blog, then send me a EMAIL with 1-3 pictures and a blurb.
