Summary: (from goodreads) I've seen him on the news. Followed the stories about what happened in Ohio. John Smith, out there, on the run. To the world, he's a mystery. But to me . . . he's one of us.

Nine of us came here, but sometimes I wonder if time has changed us—if we all still believe in our mission. How can I know? There are six of us left. We're hiding, blending in, avoiding contact with one another . . . but our Legacies are developing, and soon we'll be equipped to fight. Is John Number Four, and is his appearance the sign I've been waiting for? And what about Number Five and Six? Could one of them be the raven-haired girl with the stormy eyes from my dreams? The girl with powers that are beyond anything I could ever imagine? The girl who may be strong enough to bring the six of us together?

They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They tried to catch Number Four in Ohio—and failed.

I am Number Seven. One of six still alive.

And I'm ready to fight.

This was one of the YA books that I was very excited for this year. The Power of Six delivered. If you are not familiar with the books from Pittacus Lore, you need to be. If you are familiar then you know the first thing you read is that this is a real story. The story is told my Pittacus Lore and he is one of the Loric elders from Lorien. This is one of the best parts of this series. We are reading books being written by a alien. Do you know how intriguing that is, VERY!

Pittacus writes with such a strong voice that completely engross you in the pages. You feel powerful while you read about John (Four), Six, Marina (Seven) and a few more I wont spoil. This book when I read it I felt like I was watching a movie on the big screen. Such detail throughout the whole book and the connection with every single place or person is impeccable. You feel you are running up the mountain or your ducking from a enemy. I don't know how many times I caught myself holding my breath. When I would finally put the book down to sleep, everything would keep replaying in my mind. The Lorien elder must have the legacy of story-telling because you won't be able to resist the story.

The Power of Six begin with Marina, she is number seven and is in Spain. You read about her background and how they made it and ended up living in a convent in mountains of Spain. Marian and her cepan Adelina have been at the convent for years. Marina is reaching the earth age of 18 and will have to leave the convent. She has been waiting for the time for her to finally leave and she is ready, but Adelina you can say has been converted or brainwashed. Marina feels that Adelina is no longer someone she can count on for her survival or protection. It has not been easy for Marina living in that convent. She has begun to search the internet for the others. She knows that John Smith must be one like her. She checks daily to see what new stories she can read about John.

Then the book switches to John's point of view. Its 2 weeks after the battle at the Paradise high school with the Mogadorians. John, Sam and Six are together and on the run. John's face is everywhere on the news, he is labeled a terrorist and Henry too. They even have a rewards set for each of them, as well as Sam. Its not easy the road ahead for them. For some reason they keep being found by the Mogs and have to keep running, but they're able to kill the ones that do attack them. They have discovered new Intel that should either help them or doomed them, So they head to the last place they should be going.

So The Power of Six is told from John (Four) and Marina (Seven) point of views. Question is while they find each other, Will John finally open his chest and see what Henry left in his final letter for him. What are the visions that they keep having and are they premonitions or what has happen. Now while all this is happening there is also a love triangle brewing. Like John even needed more on his plate. The Power of Six will keep you on your toes reading and get ready because like I said before. You will forget to breathe! I don't know what the next book will be called or when Pittacus will be able to finish writing it since he is battling and helping. All I know is that I need that book Now.
