Lani in her own words:
Lani began her illustrious writing career in elementary school after reading the Babysitter Club and Sweet Valley Twins series. Most of her early works were She-Ra inspired, the epitome of girl power to Lani’s school girl self.
She experienced her first romantic relationship with a guy named Gilbert whose heart regrettably belonged to Anne. Though that relationship didn't last long, the unrequited crush continues to this day. That didn't stop Lani's quest for a new love interest, but sadly Mr. Darcy’s heart was also already taken and Pony Boy died at a very young age. While she still has a bad habit of falling for the leading men she is reading about, she did find a way to ease her heartbreak and the long string of rejection. She found a man in her real life whose heart belongs only to her.
After gradating from BYU, she worked as a photographer and background artist in California and can boast two degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon. (When she worked as an extra on E.R. she walked behind Noah Wyle, who was in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon.) She enjoys bonfires with friends at the beach, hole in the wall restaurants, chocolate as a cure all, and the word "precisely".
