Release Date: September 23rd 2011
Plot: (from IMDB) A thriller centered on a young man who sets out to uncover the truth about his life after finding his baby photo on a missing persons website.
I recently attended a VIP screening for Abduction. So I was able to see the movie before it releases on the 23rd. Abduction is Taylor Lautner's first attempt as a action star away from the Twilight saga. I think this was a great move on his part as a actor. It showcased him so that you could see that he could be another character away from Jacob Black. Is he the next Tom Cruise or Matt Damon. My opinion I think he can be. Lily Collins also does a great job with her part. Many of us know her from The Blind Side. Then let's not forget the pros on this movie, I think they all did a great job as supporting actors and didn't take away from Taylor and Lily staring roles.
Abduction is the story of Nathan Price (Taylor). One day while preparing a school project with his neighbor Karen (Lily), Karen comes across a missing child report that resembles Nathan. This discovery starts a domino affect. Nathan contacts the number listed for missing children;s hot line but realizes the phone call is direct to someone else and hangs up. Well now its too late he has been discovered. Men show up at his house and all hell breaks loose. Nathan and Karen must disappear, he has just witness the murder of the people he grew up thinking are his parents. Who can Nathan trust. Nathan must figure out what is going on and try to survive without being caught. So lets just say when all this comes to a halt, its explosive and it involves a baseball game.
I will be going once again to see the movie at the theaters when it releases since the rest of my family wants to view it. So that shows you Abduction is a movie worth seeing at the theaters. Its has the right balance of action, thriller and mystery. I will state that my husband wished for more action, I told him its teenagers on the run, you cant expect a mission impossible action sequence or Borne supremacy action scene. For Fans of Taylor or Twilight, You will love it.
Since I attend the VIP Screening they gave out some goodies. I have a Abduction lanyard, Abduction iPhone4 silicone phone cover and a small abduction poster for one lucky winner.
Thanks Yara! This looks awesome!

Yara, I'm glad that if anyone got invited to a VIP advanced screening it was you because you deserve it! It will be interesting to see who the breakout star will be from the Twilight Saga - Taylor, Robert or Kristin.
