Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This meme was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list complete with one of our bloggers’ answers. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND post a comment on our post with a link to your Top Ten Tuesday post to share with us and all those who are participating. If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
Top Ten Books I Read Because Of Another Blogger (In honor of BBAW!)
Yara's Answers:
- Nightshade by Andrea Cremer - This book Katie from Mundie Moms mentioned I had to read it since we are big fans of wolf mythology. I cant thank her enough for introducing me to this amazing series.
- Intrinsical by Lani Woodland - I cant remember exactly who recommended it, but I thank her doing it. She did it because she notice the character had my name.
- The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin - again I cant put a finger on who it was that told me to read it because she knew I was from Miami where the book is based out of.
- Dark Lover by J.R. Ward - this was a long time ago and I remember the face just not the name of who told me to pic this book up. If I ever see her again, I will kiss her feet.
- Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - this was highly recommend by my twitter followers, So of course it was bumped up in my TBR pile at that point. Twitter didnt get it wrong.
- Haven by Kristi Cook - Damaris over at Good Choice Reading takes the credit for this one. She was like YOU MUST read it now, and I did.
- Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton - this was recommended to me on Goodreads. Best recommendation on Goodreads ever.
- Dear John by Nicholas Sparks - My cousin in GA never really reads and when she read Dear John she knew she had to tell me about it. So of course I read it since she mailed me my own copy in the mail.
- Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling - This was pushed for me to finally read by my good friend Pauline. If not she was going to come down from NY and lay a good beating on me.
- Salvaged by Stefne Miller - Someone on Goodreads had asked me if I could read it and she would even let me borrow her book. SO glad she did because it was a great story.
I love that Anna and the French Kiss is on most lists today. It's such a good book and so worth the time it take to read. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI picked up the first Harry Potter book after watching the movies of Books 1-5. Only because my sister handed it to me. But I still enjoyed the book.
