Summary: (from goodreads) I’m pushing aside the memory of my nightmare,
pushing aside thoughts of Alex,
pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school,
push,
push,
push,
like Raven taught me to do.
The old life is dead.
But the old Lena is dead too.
I buried her.
I left her beyond a fence,
behind a wall of smoke and flame.
Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.
I was super excited to receive Pandemonium on loaned from a fellow blogger and devoured it in no time. Delirium was one of my favorite reads this year. Even though I read Pandemonium this year, I will say its already a favorite of 2012. I'm also in love with the new covers, they are so bright and colorful. Having the model on the cover helps me picture what Lena looks like. This series just blows me away. What wins me over completely is the whole concept Lauren Oliver has created. Can you even begin to imagine a future world where Love is illegal or a disease, I can't but in this series Lauren paints it so clearly. Pandemonium blew Delirium out of the water!!!
Pandemonium begins shortly after Lena and Alex were separated at the end of Delirium. Alex is now gone and Lena's heart went with him. She no longer feels anything. So when the Invalids find her, she is almost dead and doesn't want to be helped. Lena begins to get treated and recover once again. She starts to live her life in the Wilds. Lena's new mission is to become a warrior and when she becomes a part of the resistance, she can see her goal. This new and strong fighter Lauren has turned Lena into is just PERFECT! She is the ultimate survivor. Lena has the help of Raven, Blue and Hunter and with their help she plans to take down the DFA. So much takes places that I will not go into because it would give you the story. What takes place in Pandemonium: love, kidnapping, journey, death, surprise, betrayal and so much more. Also if you though the end of Delirium was a cliff hanger , then wait till you get to the end of Pandemonium. Its one of those OMG moments.
Now begins the endless wait for book 3 in the series. If you for some reason just might have landed from the moon and don't know about the Delirium series or Lauren Oliver, now is the time to get acquainted. Pandemonium will captivate you and won't let you go even days after you finish reading it!
Eeeep! It excites me to no end that you think Pandemonium blew Delirium out of the water. As excited as I am for the book, I'm also scared to read it as well. Delirium is one of my favorite books of all time! Awesome review! I cannot wait for Pandemonium.
