Summary: (from goodreads) Lieutenant Eve Dallas is no party girl, but she’s managing to have a reasonably good time at the celebrity-packed bash celebrating The Icove Agenda, a film based on one of her famous cases. It’s a little spooky seeing the actress playing her, who looks almost like her long-lost twin. Not as unsettling, though, as seeing the actress who plays Peabody—drowned in the lap pool on the roof of the director’s luxury building. Talented but rude, and widely disliked, K. T. Harris had made
an embarrassing scene during dinner. Now she’s at the center of a crime scene—and Eve is more than ready to get out of her high heels and strap on her holster, to step into the role she was born to play: cop.
Force to attend a celebration party for the movie being filmed, about the high profile case solved by Eve and Peabody previously, she finds herself as usual out of her comfort in high heels and elegantly dressed. The party is disrupted, when to her relief, she is back doing what she does best, being a cop and investigating crimes. The actress that plays the part of Peabody is found dead in the roof pool of the directors house.
Once the investigation begins, the not so perfect life of the actors and actresses combines with the many twists and turns to bring forth newly discovered mysteries from the past. The whole investigation as always, drives you to a thrilling adventure in the discovery of who done it, even if this one is a bit subdue compare to others before. You will be not lacking in the sexy romance of the power couple created by Eve and Roarke as well.
My loyalty to the series is once again enforced, can't wait to read the next In Death adventure. You can read past reviews for the In Death series HERE.
