Short and completely sensible advice. I have found one or two great books by accepting self-published books. Your other advice is great. Sums it all up nicely.
ReplyDeleteLove the first tip. When people find out I sometimes receive free books, they think 'sign me up'. But then I tell them how much time and commitment a blog can take. And if you're not having fun doing it, then the books aren't going to be worth it. Great advice (and short and succinct)!

I agree with the selfpublished authors comment. I reviewed a selfpublished debut author and ended up loving it! Great advice! My Top Ten Tuesday
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I forgot grammar! Bad grammar and spelling drive me nuts.
ReplyDeleteThese are great. I love the one about getting free books. I was going to put that on mine, but ultimately didn't. I also really like the "Ask for help when you need it."
ReplyDeleteAwesome tips. Grammar is definitely important when blogging. It can be very discouraging to try to read a review that is riddled with spelling and grammar mistakes.

Great advice. I'm still struggling with Twitter. I read tweets but don't really know how to jump in. I know it seems easy to everyone else but I'm... maybe too timid.
