If your looking for a short story that has imagination and magic in it then you should read Blink. Right from the beginning when you start reading the story you feel like you are in the story with Lance. All through the book every time he blinks you are introduced to a new character or new surroundings.Throughout the story each character is described perfectly and you meet a ton of characters. The main character Lance was driving to school was he noticed a top hat dangling in the tree like a Gypsy's earring. He was intrigued so he walked to the edge of the road to look at that mysterious hat in the tree. He wished he could get the hat from the tree but it was near the forest near the majestic woods. He decided that he was going to head back to his car and when he did he ended up blinking which changed his world upside down. He meets tons of characters such as a British little boy named Shane. Then he meets a lady named Chatterbox. Every time she tries to escape the box that she is trapped in she ends up getting smaller but the only way she can escape is if she remembers her name. Then Lance finds out the way that he can get himself and everybody out of the forest is by winning the game played by Amaisia. Sorry I won't tell you the ending.

After reading the story I wanted more and didn't want it to end. If your looking for a quick read that will leave you wanting more then read Blink. It won't disappoint you. I can guarantee it.
