Today stopping is a swoon-worthy half-vampire & half-warlock guy. Sebastian from Kelly Keaton's God & Monsters Series. The God & Monsters Series consist of Darkness Becomes Her (#1), A Beautiful Evil (#2) and crossing my fingers sometime in the future a book #3. Simon & Schuster needs to contract Kelly for book #3, I NEED more of this series NOW!!!

Hi guys! Happy to be here for the Fifty Shades of YA Boys event!

Dark, brooding, powerful, mysterious—all those things are apt descriptions of seventeen year old Sebastian Lamarliere, heir to the families of Arnaud and Lamarliere—two of the nine ruling families in New 2, formerly New Orleans. Bastian, as the locals call him, is mostly a loner, a rule breaker, a poet’s soul with a rocker’s attitude. He plays the drums; he shirks his duties as heir, and lives in an abandoned Garden District mansion with four young kids and more recently, Ari Selkirk. And now that he’s had a taste of Ari and his powers have manifested, life has gotten exponentially more complicated for the half vamp, half warlock.

My curiosity was piqued, and since we’re pretty close, I’ve arranged a sit down with the tall, dark-haired soul with the misty gray eyes on a park bench in Jackson Square to ask him about Ari, his intentions, and what he feels he brings to the table…

“Jeez, okay,” he says, surprised by the question. “You want to know what I bring to the table, what I have to offer Ari?” He sits back and stretches his legs out in front of him. One corner of his mouth dips down into a rueful smile. “Short answer: misery.”

At my raised brow, he goes on. “Maybe not right away, but it’ll come. When my nature is too hard to resist, when I don’t want to resist it and do something stupid like . . . nick her skin just to get a…” He groans, leans forward, props his elbows on his knees, and runs his hands over his head, staring at the ground between his boots. “God. I hate this.” He glances at me, eyes full of the same misery he just spoke of. “I hate what I am.”

He straightens. A short, painful laugh escapes him. “She smells amazing. Her hair, her skin… Just thinking about it makes my chest burn and my hands shake.” He goes quiet and stares at the eclectic mix of people in the square His voice is low when he speaks again. “I know what I have to do. Walk away. Piss her off. Get myself as far away as I can. But not yet. Not until we find a way to end her curse. Then I’ll go. I’ll walk. I’ll have to.”

He’s edgy, pissed, and so sad behind the anger. “Look,” he says, rising, “I got to head back to the G.D. We done here?”

I nod and let him go. As he strides through the crowd, people part for him without even realizing they’re doing so. Fear. Respect. Self-preservation. Something inside of them tells them to stay clear. Sebastian is oblivious to it; he has no idea how powerful he really is. One day, he’ll know. Until then, he’ll have to make his own way, his own mistakes, and I guess I’ll be there to pick up the pieces as always. ;-)

NOBODY KNOWS I AM: This close to giving in to temptation.

I WISH I COULD STOP: Feeling shit that others feel.

I'M A SUCKER FOR: Bravery.

A GOOD TIME FOR ME IS: Hanging out in the G.D. with the kids and Ari.

NOBODY WOULD BELIEVE ME IF THEY SAW ME: Use the other power I have... so screwed up.

I'D REALLY RATHER: Bang on drums.

THE FIRST THING I DO IN THE MORNING IS: Stretch.

The books are available on Amazon: Darkness Becomes Her • A Beautiful Evil

Ah that is Sebastian for you, worrying about others and not himself. One of his best qualities and his good looks of course. To celebrate Sebastian stopping by today, Kelly is offering signed copies of Darkness Becomes Her and A Beautiful Evil internationally. YEY!!!  Throws confetti!!!
