I’ve been a reviewer for Once Upon a Twilight a little over a year now, and I’ve enjoyed every bit of it. Along the way there have been “Bookish Moments” where at some point in time, I had something to share about a great book experience and just never got around to doing it. So I’m slowing down this weekend, and letting my thoughts hit the keyboard before it’s too late.

As you know several of us here at Once Upon a Twilight were brought together by the love of one book, Twilight. It saddens me that the last movie is quickly approaching, however the fact that I’ve made so many life long friends along the way is truly amazing. With Twilight, came the creation of TwilightMoms, which led to a never ending connection to people around the world. When we get together and talk books, we talk books seriously.

When TM (Twilightmom) Kim and I get together, if we aren’t talking about crafts (KARH Designs), baking (all of which she is a pro at) or NASCAR we are talking about books!!! So it came to no surprise during our latest visit to the Atlanta Motor Speedway, to see our favorite drivers race hard, we had to take our own special Pit Stop to the Decatur Book Festival. It was amazing to see all the author’s tents featuring their books and up and coming new reads. Kim had a planned visit to meet up with Katherine Tucker, author of The Causal Enchantment Series and I met S.R. Johannes, author of The Nature of Grace Series. Below are the authors that we met and/or purchased their books at the Decatur Book Festival either by print or Kindle version:

Finally, because I can’t leave Joshua (also reviewer for Once Upon a Twilight) out, I purchased The Lore Trilogy by Chad T. Douglas. He was a very shy and young author. I enjoyed reading about his start as a published author and can’t wait for Joshua to check out his books titled:

A Pirate's Charm (book 1) • East and Eight (book 2) • The Old World (book 3)

So there you have it and in celebration of a successful day at the book festival and because our NASCAR drivers have made the Sprint Cup Chase, Kim and I are sponsoring a giveaway with Yara’s help.
