Summary: (from goodreads) Don't look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them. That is Ethan Chase's unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he'd dare to fall for.
Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister's world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.
AH!!!! I cant stress enough how much I LOVE entering this world that Julie has created. It was a very exciting day for me when I found out that there would be a spin-off series. I was still brokenhearted from when I finished The Iron Knight and thought that was it for visiting the Nevernever. So it was good to know that once again I would be completely disconnecting from our world when reading page after page of The Lost Prince. Julie writes with such vivid details, you can't help but be immersed in the tale. There just isn't anything Julie will write that is bad or as simple as ok, everything turns out excellent. Once you read Julie you never look back!!! FACT!!!
For the loyal fans of Julie's books, we know Ethan Chase as Meghan's little brother from The Iron Fey series that was kidnapped when he was little. For the non-fans (this must be fixed asap), He will just be Ethan (HOTTIE) Chase, the grown teenager, who happens to have a sister that lives in the Nevernever as the acting Iron Queen. One thing we all know once you begin reading, is you DON'T look at THEM! Ethan has been able to see the fey since he was little, this is one of the reason he was kidnapped. Now as a grown teenager, he has come up with a way of life to ignore and defend himself from THEM. One must never, under any circumstances look or speak to THEM. if you do, that's it your doomed in some way. THEM will not leave you alone. Ethan's life has not been easy. THEM have gotten in the way many times and are the cause behind problems in school and at home. Since nobody else can see THEM, he has to always take the blame for anything THEM cause. So starting off at a new school again, Ethan hopes he will last at new school with no visits from THEM. Well thing is, when one of the students is a THEM and he defends him from some school bullies, that person/fey now needs a favor from Ethan. Ethan will break a few of the rules he made for himself regarding THEM to help this one fey, which turns up missing one day. Now on top of that the school's hottest girl is after Ethan for a interview which lead to Ethan and Kenzie being chased/attacked by THEM. Ethan has to make a life-changing decision to save both their lives. Something he said he never do. Ethan will have to go to the one place he said he never would and ask for help to save those he cares for. Will the Nevernever be accepting of Ethan. How will Ethan react to certain things he will come to find out.
Be ready to dive in to the world we all remember from The Iron Fey series with returning favorite characters. Now what's more exciting is the new characters we do meet in The Lost Prince. This new series is another one to add to your shelf to keep. THEM will not argue with me on that!
I second that! Until I read the first line of Ethan's story I had forgotten how much I absolutely positively LOVE Julie Kagawa and her world of fey. As soon as I finished Ethan's story I had to go out and read all the shorts that Julie Kagawa had released because I was hooked all over again, I just wish I could have snuck an entire reread in. Great review! :]
