Being blackmailed into a fake relationship with Chad Gamble isn’t easy, especially when the sizzling physical attraction between them is undeniable. With a month to go on their arranged pretense, it's going to take every ounce of willpower they have not to fall into bed together...or in love.
Chad Gamble is a nationals league baseball player and he is one of the best players off the field and on the field. Chad likes to party and have one night stands all the time. Until one night when he is out drinking with another player changes his life. Bridget decides to go to this bar that her friend got tickets to and they wanted to check it out. Chad is sitting at the bar and they are checking out woman and Chad notices these two girls that they have never seen before. But the one that Chad really notices is Bridget. She is a women that he has never seen before. When Bridget comes up to the bar to order a drink that is when he takes his chance and talks to her. She is shocked when she notices who it is because her boss and friend Madison is practically married to his brother Chase. So she doesn't want to say anything to him because she doesn't want to lose her chance with him. Plus she is shocked that he is interested in her because she is this short women that has a little weight on her. She knows he loves to go after Victoria Secret Models. They end up going back to his place and things start to happen between them until she sees a text from who she thinks is a supermodel that he just hooked up with. So he is in the bathroom so she leaves and hopes to never see him again. He comes out of the bathroom and notices she is gone and really hopes to see her again. Everyday both of them are thinking about each other and hope they can see each other again. Until Madison ask Bridget to go out to lunch with her and Chase. Its going great until Chase says he invited his brother Chad to lunch with them. She gets all nervous and hopes there is a way that she can escape the table and leave before he shows up. But she is to late. Then when they are introduced to each other he ask where did you go. Then Chad finds out that Bridget knew who he was and that she is friends with Madison and Chase. Since that day at the restaurant they can't stay away from each other. But when things start to happen he stops it or she stops it. The sexual tension between them is so extreme that they are ready to explode. In order to get Chad to have his contract renewed for the Nationals he needs to stay out of bars and being with different women. So he has a publicist that is working with him and they come up with a idea that Chad and Bridget are dating each other. They have to go on all these dates and parties and have pictures taken with each other for magazines and newspapers so his contract can get renewed. But neither of them knew that they would fall in love with each other. The ending of this story is so romantic and I don't want to give it away. Sometimes in life there are women out there that can tame the player. I recommend you reading this.
P.S. I agree with Tiffany and suggest that you read Tempting the Player as well as Tempting the Best Man. I have read both books and absolutely LOVE them, If they were physical books, I might have cuddled them. I know many of you are already huge fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout's YA books and writing, so when I say these books are like her YA books but even better because you don't have the YA restrictions. Its does get steamy up in these pages. So what ya waiting for?
