Summary: (from goodreads) INTENSE. DANGEROUS. ADDICTIVE.

Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

Unless you have a reading pile as long as mines, that can probably wrap around the planet, then you have read or seen the rave reviews for Beautiful Disaster. Jamie McGuire has created a gut wrenching powerhouse of a romance novel. Such intensity within these pages, especially at the end. The title of this book couldn't have been more prefect for the story. How many of us can relate to the title. Some of us have at one point in our lives gone through a phase where yes we are beautiful inside but the path we are leading is disastrous until you yourself or someone helps you snap out of it. Everything about Beautiful Disaster amplifies the title and more, I truly enjoyed it.

In this story we follow along Abby, she has transformed herself into goodie Ms. Two Shoes. She even chose to study far away from home, so no one would find out about her dark past and dragged her best friend with her. Everything is working out as planned until she meets and sees Travis, the ultimate hotter than hell bad boy. Abby knows she must resist his charms, unlike any other girl at their college who practically throw themselves at him when he is in their presences. She can't let herself even be friends with someone like him, it would mean bringing up her past. Travis fights on the lowdown to earn extra cash and Abby sees this attitude when she attends one of his secret fights, she is shaken to her core with what she witness. How hard will Abby have to fight to resist Travis. Well when she looses a bet and has to deal with Travis one on one, that wall that she has worked real hard to keep upright, is caving by the second. Thing is though, Abby isn't the only one that is changing. Travis might be losing some of the bad boy in him, seems Travis has finally found his match with Abby. They will either make it through together or let the past directed the future.

You might be wondering why I didn't give it the full 5 trees, well Travis's character as much as I did love him, I also hated him at times. His possessiveness drove me insane at times and would even make me take reading breaks. Its like I was one of those cartoon characters when the steams blows out of their ears, yea Travis caused the reaction a few times. Then Abby would make up and everything was alright in the world again until the next issue. So it was just that small detailed, but I still loved and thought like the rating says, that the book was outstanding. So if Beautiful Disaster is still sitting in your reading pile as TBR or you haven't bought it, I suggest that you do and very soon. I am excited to read Walking Disaster that's written in Travis's POV and read his side of the story. I bet then I'll understand Mr. Macho.
