Summary: (from goodreads) Cole Dyami is a mysterious boy with a dangerous secret. Adeline Jasely is a typical teenage girl. Living in the seemingly normal small town of Great Falls Montana, Adeline is confronted with everyday teenage problems by a not so normal beautiful boy.
As Adeline and Cole’s worlds collide, the line between illusion and reality is blurred. According to a tribal legend, Adeline and Cole are no longer two friends, but two pieces in a complicated mystery.
Suddenly, Adeline finds herself in a world she never knew existed. Along side Cole, she attempts to unravel the mysteries of the small Chippewa tribe in order to not only find out who Cole Dyami truly is, but who she is as well.
As Cole and Adeline begin to uncover the secrets behind the legends of the Chippewa tribe, illusion slowly unravels into reality and friendship gradually melts into a mutual need of survival.
This book was interesting right from the beginning to the end. Forget Me Not takes you on a journey through Adelines life from being just a normal teenager in school to meeting that hot new boy that just came to school where everybody wants to know his name and his story. Adeline is this young high schooler that lives with her sister because her parents were killed in a accident. She loves her sister so much but doesn't really care for her boyfriend which is a teacher at the school that Adeline goes to. She can't do anything without Henry her sisters boyfriend finding out which starts to cause trouble between her sister and her. Adeline meets this mysterious boy named Cole that just arrived at her school. She doesn't give him the time of day because he is this hot boy and she is this loner high school student that knows she couldn't get a boy this hot to like her. She keeps telling him to give the other girls a chance but his only interest is her. She doesn't know why but she ends up love being with him and starts to feel things for him. The more she falls in love with him and the more she wants to hang out with him she starts to learn things about his family and about herself all in one. She learns about shape shifters that are part of his family and then she finds out that the public isn't allowed on the reservation because of the trouble that they cause to the reservation. Then when she does go to the reservation with her sister for a meeting that she has to tape because she writes for the newspaper she notices all the people in the reservation running away from her and she notices a hawk flying in the air and that's when she passes out. She then finds out the reason why the people were running away from her because they think she was reincarnated with a lady that use to live in the village. So they thought they were seeing a ghost. Sometimes when you meet people you don't realize how many skeletons they have in their closet so that's why you should give them chances.
After reading some of the reviews on Good reads I noticed a lot of people were saying that Adeline reminded them of Bella off Twilight and Edward as Cole. After seeing that the story does remind me of Twilight. Bella fell in love with a vampire and Adeline fell in love with a Shape shifter. The other cool thing was it also took place on a reservation. So it could also be Bella and Jacob. You never know what your imagination will show you. Read this book and you can judge for yourself.
