We first saw them in her Freshman novel, Because of You. Now that Shane and Jen are engaged, Jen is pushing the subject of wanting to start a "family". This has Shane more frightened than heading back to Iraq after his long road to recovery due to being blown up in the desert many months ago. But not frightened of having children with the woman he loves more than life itself. He's frightened because Jen is a breast cancer survivor. All of his exhaustive research has led him to the conclusion that a baby could jeopardize Jen's life and leave him without the love of his.

I always want more ... this 38 page novella was a tease to say the least. I could read another 400 pages about Shane and Jen and the love that they have for one another. I will just have to settle for waiting on the upcoming third installment to the Coming Home series which I hope will come out this year! Until then, I'll just read and re-read this novella over and over and get lost in this love story once again!
