It's hard to pinpoint why I love NA but I think it's because I remember the excitement of actually being a new adult. That time in your life when you're venturing out on your own for the first time and understanding what it means to grow-up. I like that NA characters aren't as naive as teens nor as jaded as adults. The exploration, finding love and learning about sex is more real & refreshing!
ReplyDeleteDoes that make sense? It makes sense in my head, lol.

I agree with you 100% and totally understand it!!!!
DeleteOh good :) I was afraid I was getting all rambly, lol.
DeleteThe drama of a teenager but the situations of adulthood that I can relate to!
ReplyDeleteI havent read any new adult yet but I would love to. Sounds good.
ReplyDeleteI love new adult because I can relate to the characters. They are my age group so, for the most part, new adult seems real to me.
ReplyDeleteI think new adult fits that perfect balance for me when I don't want to read about high school kids but I also don't want the divorcé with two kids just beginning to date again.
ReplyDeleteNew adult reminds me of steamy stuff when I was younger...sigh!

I love new adult because it reminds me of one of the best times of my life, the college years! Love the steamy content, finding oneself and great romance! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love NA! For me, NA is refreshing and brings me back to being new to the world without being under the microscope of my parents.
ReplyDeleteis this intl?thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI love that the characters and their situations are more relate-able for me, as a 21 year old! :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy most genres and reading levels. I find the NA books generally have a little bit more mature writing and not quite as much of the teenage angst that is found is so many of the YA, which can be fun, but not all the time :) There is a little more leeway with the NA :)
