I was a bit skeptical about reading this novel even though I pretty much will read anything published by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Reason for my skepticism was that I knew it would take place in the Lux world. I am a ridiculously huge fan of the Lux series for a long time now and as we all know the Lux series is young adult books. So how would Jennifer cross over this series into the adult level? Well that concern is no longer an issue, Jennifer stayed in the world of the Lux but she brought along characters that are much older and seriously sexy. So yea Obsession isn't about Katy or Daemon, which I kept hoping would pop up at some point here or there (did they? you'll have to read to find out). But instead this chapter in the Lux series is all about Hunter an Arum and Serena that's human. We also get to understand the Arum, the Luxen's enemy a bit more in depth. This story is definitely its on entity and Jennifer delivered like her books always do. I have read everything to date by Jennifer and have yet to be disappointed by any of her books. I sound like a broken record in all my reviews that concern Jennifer, but you have to give credit where credit is due. The woman can write!!!

Have you heard that saying that says "wrong time, wrong place"? Well that's how obsession starts off. Events happen that cross path between Humans, Luxen and Arum. The lives of Humans are being taken and the life long battle between Arum and Luxen continue. You are introduced to Hunter and as you read along, you cant help yourself and fall and I mean fall hard for this bad boy. As much as we are on Team Luxen, in Obsession you find yourself routing for the other team. Not all Luxen are like Daemon and you'll find out in this book. So when the enemy shows a decent side, Hunter captures are hearts in more ways that one. Hunter heart will be captured by someone very unexpected to him, Serena. These two characters bring tons of sarcastic humor and deliciously-suspenseful romance. 

Obsession will have you switching sides for the time being!
