Top Ten Most Memorable Secondary Characters in Books!

  • Robin Goodfellow "Puck" from Julie Kagawa's The Iron Fey Series: Puck originally stems from William Shakespeare's play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Puck is just full of witty humor and always had Meg's back. You just can't help yourself but love him.

  • Rue from The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins. Rue might not have lasted past the first book in the series, but her time with us was very memorable. Such heartfelt compassion between Katniss and Rue. She was a survivor till the end.

  • Professor Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter Series written by J. K. Rowlings: Who didn't just adore Dumbledore? He was a good-hearted wizard that took care and mentor Harry till his last days.

  • Richard Parker from Life of Pi written by Yann Martel: First off I must say best name to give a Bengal tiger. The relationship that Richard Parker and Pi formed to help each other survived being adrift is incredible.

  • Stevie Rae Johnson from the House of Night Series written by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast: When it comes to a best friend, you want to have Stevie Rae in your corner plus she is hilarious.

  • Magnus Bane from The Mortal Instruments Series and The Infernal Devices Series by Cassandra Clare: Talk about charismatic, that's Magnus Bane for ya. Plenty of mystery and lies but you still are prone to like Magnus. He just fascinates us.

  • Roar from Under the Never Sky Series by Veronica Rossi: Roar as beastly as he is, is the best side-kick ever. He supports you when he needs to and puts you in your place when you need it as well. Keeps you grounded.

  • Iron Horse from The Iron Fey Series by Julia Kagawa: The truth is this series has so many memorable characters but Iron Horse does standout as one of many top ones I loved from the series. Iron Horse won our hearts over when he wasn't suppose to. LOVED him.

  • Bernie Kosar from Lorien Legacies Series written by Pittacus Lore: One of my favorite non-human characters from all series I have read. He isn't just a cute little Beagle, he is this supernatural protector from another world that will stop at nothing to protect John "Four" Smith.

*- Nine came to mind only while creating this list. I know their are more but for the life of me, i just cant think of them.

  2. Rue is a great choice. The Hunger Games is full of great secondary characters, which is why I think Collins is so great at world building.

    Here's my TTT.
