WOW!!!! What a roller coaster of emotions. I can honestly say that I had a love/hate/LOVE relationship with Gage Channing. This book is not for the faint of heart. It's dark, but oh so intriguing!!!

The story starts off with a bang.... It jumps right in, roaring to go.

Kayla is Gage's assistant. She has a very sick 3 year old daughter, named Eve. In order for Eve to receive the necessary cancer treatments needed for survival, Kayla stole $10,000 from Channing Enterprises. Needless to say, Gage discovered that she had stolen and gives her the choice of 2 options. Become his sexual slave, or go directly to prison. Kayla submits to her Master, knowing that Eve's fate lies in his hands.

This is where the hate fell into place. Gage does some things that are down right cruel. He is definitely into BDSM, although it gets very rough. Despite the fact that she hates what he's doing, she secretly likes it. Kayla starts craving it. There's something about Gage that is undeniable. The thing is ... Gage senses this. He knows that deep down, if she wanted it to stop, she can say the safe word and it would all be done. However, before she can do that, Kayla discovers something about Gage that she can hold over him. She knows that this can take him down.

In the midst of all of this happening, Ian (her former lover) walks back into her life. Ian just so happens to work at the hospital where Eve is being cared for. It becomes tricky when Gage orders her to have nothing to do with Ian. Once again ... She has to walk away and say good-bye to the man she loves.
