A bombshell bookworm. A chronic Casanova. And a lesson in chemistry too scandalous for school.
When Hanna Bergstrom receives a lecture from her overprotective brother about neglecting her social life and burying herself in grad school, she’s determined to tackle his implied assignment: get out, make friends, start dating. And who better to turn her into the sultry siren every man wants than her brother’s gorgeous best friend, Will Sumner, venture capitalist and unapologetic playboy?
Will takes risks for a living, but he’s skeptical about this challenge of Hanna’s…until the wild night his innocently seductive pupil tempts him into bed- and teaches him a thing or two about being with a woman he can’t forget. Now that Hanna’s discovered the power of her own sex appeal, it’s up to Will to prove he’s the only man she’ll ever need.
Beautiful Player has won me over and has now taken its place as my favorite installment in the series. Until now that 1st place spot belong to the book that began the series Beautiful Bastard, so I was shocked and thrilled at the same time when I came to realize that Player pushed Bastard into second place. Its simply incredible from start to finish. Not one piece of the book can I point fingers at and find a fault. The story flowed as usual with that saucy flare we have come to expect from Christina and Lauren's writing . What put this book on top (lol, no pun intended) was the characters and their PERFECT CHEMISTRY. This duo is a force to be reckoned with, this is technically the 5th book and it just keep getting better and hotter and steamier as we go. I can't wait for the Wedding and what the duo will bring to the table!!!!
Will and Hanna are as opposite as you can get between 2 people, but that doesn't stop the spark from igniting. Its true what the saying says, Opposites do attract. How will a young brainy woman tame a sexy beast of a player? Well Hanna does and then some. But not everything is easy and simple. Is Will ready to leave his comfortable life of planned rendezvous with his ladies friends to settle for a young woman he has watched grow up from from being a nerdy little girl to the smart-workaholic she is today? Can Hanna believe a player such as Will can get serious about just one person, like her instead of those he has a care free relationship with? And what's to say she will be enough for him. Hanna knows she is a bit obsessive about her work and her books, she spends full days at a time in the lab and has never really had a social life. That's until Will came back into her life. Will thought it would be a simple gesture to take out his good friend's sister out on the town so she could start to have a life outside of the lab, never in a million year did he expect he would want more from her. Between Hanna's funny-sarcastic one-liners to Will's delicious ones, these two polar-opposites, might just find a way to pull together.
Fans of the series will love this next installment. Its prefect for when you need that laughter and steaminess in your day. New to the series? Make sure you start at the beginning and work your way to Player, you want to get to know everyone as the stories grow. Their isn't much more I can say about this book, its a great book, great series, great characters and great authors. Its a win-win situation, I tell ya.
DELICIOUSLY AMAZING!
