Book Tour: Sentinel | Jennifer L. Armentrout | Elixir - Walk Through Memory Lane | Giveaway

Welcome to our halloween edition stop on the Sentinel book tour for Jennifer L. Armentrout. Its a happy and sad day for us because we are dying to read the conclusion in the Covenant series but we are not ready to say good bye to the series (or Aiden especially). We know all good great things must come to an end but our hearts will be sad when we turn that last page in Sentinel.

This tour will be a walk though memory lane. The tour began October 27th and ends November 2nd (Sentinel release day).  You can visit Stuck in books for a full schedule of stops.

October 27th - Diamon | October 28th - Half-Blood | October 29th - Pure | October 30th - Deity | October 31st - Elixir | November 1st - Apollyon | November 2nd - Sentinel

So lets begin this walk down memory lane with Elixir's cover

Aiden St. Delphi will do anything to save Alex.
Even if it means doing the one thing he will never forgive himself for.
Even if it means making war against the gods.

Elixir's cover was the 1st cover in the series that did not have a black background like Diamon, Half-Blood, Pure and Deity had. The cover also show a design in water as opposed to a gas-like fire design. Still to this day, it stands out from the rest of the covers because of those elements in the design. I also thought it was genius to use the flower-water design because it represents the title of the book, Elixir which is a liquid that Alex drank to break the bond between her and Seth.

Next memory is that we finally (thank you Jennifer) got to be inside Aiden's mind. Elixir is told in Aiden's point of view. I will not forget how we suffered alongside Aiden as he didn't lose hope he would get his Alex back. It was such a welcomed treat that depended the love and affection we already had for Aiden.

Ah Aiden, but let's not forget also that Elixir this summer won Jennifer an award. Elixir won Best Supernatural Novella at the utopYA awards ceremony. (Onyx won Best YA Scifi Novel too)
And before we end this wonderful stroll down memory lane, I think its only fitting to have some quotes from Elixir to remind us why we go goo-good-gaga for Aiden.

“Alex, you have to be in there. I know you. My heart would not be beating if you were truly gone.”
“I swore to you that I wouldn't let that happen, and I know I've failed you, but I'm not going to just give up, Alex. I'll never give up on you.”
“Please come back to me, Alex. Please. I love you too much to lose you.”
Oh Aiden, you will be missed.

Author bio:

# 1 New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Jennifer L. Armentrout Lives in West
Virginia.

All the rumors you heard about her state aren’t true.

Well, mostly. When she's not hard at work writing, she spends her time, reading, working out, watching zombie movies, and pretending to write.

She is the author of the Covenant Series (Spencer Hill Press), the Lux Series (Entangled Teen), Don't Look Back (Disney/Hyperion) and a yet untitled novel (Disney/Hyperion), and new YA paranormal series with Harlequin Teen.

Jennifer also writes New Adult and Adult romance under the pen name J. Lynn. The Gamble Brothers Series (Tempting the Best Man/Tempting the Player) and Wait for You. Under her pen name, she is published with Entangled Brazen and HarperCollins.

It's a beautiful day for a war. As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all. And with all the obstacles between Alex and her happily-ever-after with the swoonworthy Aiden St. Delphi, they must now trust a deadly foe as they travel deep into the Underworld to release one of the most dangerous gods of all time. In the stunning, action-packed climax to the bestselling Covenant Series, Alex must face a terrible choice: the destruction of everything and everyone she holds dear... or the end of herself.

Spencer Hill Press is giving away a $200 gift card to Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Book Depository or any indie bookstore of the winner's choice to not only stock up on amazing books, but to perhaps buy a Nook HD or Kindle Fire.

  1. I actually haven't read Elixir yet. It was more than a little confusing when I went into Apollyon. I thought that Elixir was optional, but in order to really understand the story, you had to read it.
