Landon Brinkley is making her dreams come true. After years of poring over glossy photos of celebrity parties in People and US Weekly, she’s landed her Holy Grail: an internship with the fabulous Selah Smith, event planner to the Hollywood elite. Moving from small town Texas to Los Angeles, Landon finds herself in a world in which spending a million dollars on an event – even for kids’ birthdays – is de rigueur. The thrill of working on A-list parties and celeb weddings is enough to get her through the 75-hour workweeks, the nightmare of a multi-day film festival, and abuse at the hands of a mercurial boss. But confronted with the seamy realities of the business, she is forced to make a choice: do whatever it takes to get ahead, or stay true to herself.

A roman a clef in the vein of The Devil Wears Prada, PARTY GIRL draws on the author’s real life experience for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the celebrity-obsessed world of event planning. From the party habits of America’s favorite underage singer to the worst Bridezilla of all (the kind that graces the cover of your favorite magazine), PARTY GIRL reveals the ugly side of Hollywood’s prettiest parties.

If I wanted to crawl to a top of a mountain and scream how much I loved this book I would say.. . I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book from the cover to the very end. If you have ever watched the movie The Devil Wears Prada, then you will love this book.

The author and the way she wrote this book you feel like your best friends with the main character Landon right from the beginning. You see her go through so much to try and prove to her boss and everybody else that she can be a great event planner even though your from Texas. There were times where I laughed out loud and then other times were I just wanted to cringe at some of the things that she was put through. Because you were feeling the same thing the character was feeling or you have gone through the same thing as Landon. Right from the beginning of the story Landon wanted to make a good first impression to the devil boss in the story. But what happens is she goes down hill from there. Everything else after that turns into a domino effect. There are so many important things in the story I would love to tell you about but if I tell you anything about the characters it will screw something up in the rest of the book about that character. Mainly the way the author wrote this book you meet a character and then you meet other characters in the book. But in the end they all come together.

I can tell you that she meets a handsome guy that makes her nervous and happy all at the same time. She has a roommate that is unique in every way that you can be. The guy that she helps with projects that works for the devil is nobody that you would want to be friends with in your life. Every word that the author wrote on the pages I felt like I was her. You go through every emotion that she does. I love those kind of books. The ending of the book was fantastic and it was making me want more. I want to read the rest of Landon's story. I really hope the author comes out with a sequel to this book because I would really want to read it. So if your looking for a book that will make you so happy then grab this book. I promise you won't be disappointed.
