Whirlwind romance and breathtaking action continues in the sequel to Let the Sky Fall, which Becca Fitzpatrick called “charged and romantic.”

Vane Weston is haunted. By the searing pull of his bond to Audra. By the lies he’s told to cover for her disappearance. By the treacherous winds that slip into his mind, trying to trap him in his worst nightmares. And as his enemies grow stronger, Vane doesn’t know how much longer he can last on his own.

But Audra’s still running. From her past. From the Gales. Even from Vane, who she doesn’t believe she deserves. And the farther she flees, the more danger she finds. She possesses the secret power her enemy craves, and protecting it might be more than she can handle—especially when she discovers Raiden’s newest weapon.

With the Gale Force weakened by recent attacks, and the power of four collapsing, Vane and Audra are forced to make a choice: keep trusting the failing winds, or turn to the people who’ve betrayed them before. But even if they survive the storms sent to destroy them, will they have anything left to hold on to?

You always worry about the sequel when it involves a book you loved. In Let the Storm Break I had no reason to worry when done. Messenger kept the series going without faults. This is a series I am super-fangirl about, it's such a different concept. If something else has been written like it, I haven't come across it yet and I read a lot. I mean seriously how can it not be awesome when you have Windwalkers. Read my review of Let the Sky Fall and then reread this review and if your not sold, than your not from this world, lol. This series will work with any person be it young or old, male or female. It's the kind of story you can see become a movie.

In this sophomore novel, Messenger continues the story in dual point of views where it left off.  You have Vane trying to cope with the idea of that he is no longer who he thought he was and accepting of what he is now, then Audra is being Audra but now Audra that can speak to the West winds like Vane.  SO much begins to take place in this book that I just can't explain in a simple review. It would be spoiling the story anyhow, we don't want that. Just know that those that have read Let the Sky Fall, you will be left speechless with Let the Storm Break and those new to the series, you do want to start off with book one and then read book two. You don't want to be confused about anything and follow along the action-packed pace of the story.

Also note this is one of the books that you can add to heart-stopping cliffhangers shelves!!! At least now your prepared unlike I was. Have on hand tissue and possibly be in a room where if you need to scream, you won't scare anyone into thinking you have lost your mind.

Recommended to everyone, Sky Fall series is like nothing you have ever read before.
