Andy wasn’t usually sure about much, but she was absolutely certain this was the weirdest day of her life as she stood stranded in the middle of a great white room with six strangers. Well, they were mostly strangers. She could have sworn she’d seen the guy with the green eyes before, and maybe that was why he kept staring at her.
When a man calling himself the Guardian appeared and said they had come to make their deepest dreams come true, they embark on an adventure none of them ever imagined, and the consequences of their actions would change them forever.
"John Dreamer" is the first in a series of books set in the confines of the Great White Room.
What if a "great white room" existed that helped you conquer your barriers which in turn helped you realize your biggest dream, and then from that, it aided you to reach your full potential in life? That is exactly what happens in John Dreamer. We meet a group of teenagers who have total opposite personalities from one another. Each with their own chair to show for it. Then pops up a strange man who is their "guide" through this journey. And, as much as he frustrates them, he frustrated me as well with the way he would suspiciously say things. One by one, each character is forced with a scenario where he or she must make a choice. Choose to ignore your insecurities and make your most significant dream come true or choose not to.
John Dreamer was unlike anything I've ever come across. While, I know that sounds overrated, it truly was a concept I have never read about. It sounds like it could be a deep read, but it's actually a light read in my opinion. Although, I could use some more information on how the great white room works I do like how it was written. It will be a series so I'm definitely looking forward to continuing it and finding out more about this room and the main characters, John D. Reamer and Andy. I would definitely recommend John Dreamer because it is an inspirational light and heartwarming read.
Ps. Food for thought: What is your deepest dream?
