Damian hated every waking second that he was there. He thought about ditching several times, but Jerry has done so much for Damian, that he knew he owed it to him to stay. When Damian set eyes on Bethany, he thought she was cute, but needed some good fashion advice. She had a huge bow on her head for heaven's sake!!

Bethany is mysterious. As a matter of fact, she didn't even want to give Damian her name when they first met. Damian however, is a detective and will soon enough know everything he needs and wants to about her. Bethany is keeping a dark secret and she is afraid that he will discover the truth before she can right her wrongs. This does not however, have any effect on the hot romance between the two. When Damian thinks about Bethany, his heart speeds up and he can feel the pitter patter of his heart skipping inside of his chest. You honestly can not help but fall in love with Damian. He definitely makes you swoon. Another side of Damian that I love is his protectiveness over Bethany. Some would say that a man being over protective with their woman is too much, but I love it. It shows how much he loves her and absolutely show his alpha side. It didn't seem as though Bethany was turned off by it either. Quite often there was a chuckle when Damian acted that way. 

Excerpt:

She turned to him with a smirk. "Well, you have no reason to be jealous."

"Are you kidding me? With his hands all over you like that? He didn't get that---"

"Damian," she said, leaning against him as they walked through the crowd.

"No, I'm serious," Damian continued, sounding more irritated as the scene outside seemed to be getting to him the more he thought about it. "Douchebags like that guy act like---"

She touched his face to calm him. "Baby, he's gay." Damian stared at her, a bit stunned.

He looked as if he was about to comment on that, but something behind her caught Damian's attention. "Whaaaa?" he asked, with a big smile, then shook his head.

This same night at the club,  Bethany revealed part of her troubles to him. Damian loves her so much that he is willing to do any and everything he can to keep and help her. The thing is .. Bethany truly does not want to bring Damian into her troubles. She does not want to pull him in. Bethany is afraid of losing him due to this, yet he would do anything to hold onto her. What are these secrets that Bethany is keeping? Will she let Damian in and allow him to help her?
