Samantha is a stranger in her own life. Until the night she disappeared with her best friend, Cassie, everyone said Sam had it all-popularity, wealth, and a dream boyfriend.
Sam has resurfaced, but she has no recollection of who she was or what happened to her that night. As she tries to piece together her life from before, she realizes it's one she no longer wants any part of. The old Sam took "mean girl" to a whole new level, and it's clear she and Cassie were more like best enemies. Sam is pretty sure that losing her memories is like winning the lottery. She's getting a second chance at being a better daughter, sister, and friend, and she's falling hard for Carson Ortiz, a boy who has always looked out for her-even if the old Sam treated him like trash.
But Cassie is still missing, and the facts about what happened to her that night isn't just buried deep inside of Sam's memory-someone else knows, someone who wants to make sure Sam stays quiet. All Sam wants is the truth, and if she can unlock her clouded memories of that fateful night, she can finally move on. But what if not remembering is the only thing keeping Sam alive?
I was holding on to read this book. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jennifer but this woman is a writing machine! But Shannon, one the reviewers here, kept telling me I had to read it. And once again, Jennifer doesn’t disappoint. She keeps getting better and better. I have no idea where she gets all these amazing ideas!
Don’t Look Back is a mystery and thriller book of a girl named Samantha. She is struggling with amnesia. As she struggles remembering, she is determined to recovers her memory since her best friend, Cassie, is still missing. Not only is she struggling with her memory, but Samantha doesn’t know who to trust and is having a hard time of being back to her old self. She comes to learn that she wasn't a really nice girl.
As Cassie is discovered dead and the investigation begins, Samantha puts her investigator hat on. There are clues that provide you who the killer you really have to put two and two together. But with so many people, I kept going back and forth with two individuals. In which both were not the killer! I was close but I had the wrong person (not saying the correct term because yeah I would totally give the story out). Once mystery is reveal, you’ll be shocked!
If you never heard of Jennifer L. Armentrout also known as J. Lynn, I have no idea what planet you live. This woman is brilliant. With so many books she releases per year, you may think she will run out of ideas. But as she releases a book, she keeps proving that she gets better and better. So I highly recommend that you read one of her many, many, many books. Don’t Look Backs is a great book to start!
I totally thought I had this one figured out and I was wrong as well! I loved it. It was my first JLA book but I am excited to read more of her books.

There was a time where I read everything by Jennifer but then I started to realize that a lot of her storylines are pretty similar to Twilight and Vampire Academy and I lost interest a little.
