Will their past determine their future?
Saint Ford has worked hard to achieve her childhood dream of becoming of nurse. Focused on her work and devoted to her patients, there’s no room for love. She doesn’t need a guy making waves in her calm, serene life—especially when he’s the unforgettable hottie who nearly destroyed her in high school. Dark, brooding Nash Donovan might not remember her or the terrible pain he caused. But he turned her world upside down... and now he’s trying to do it again.
Saint has no idea that Nash isn’t the cocky player he once was. Uncovering a devastating family secret has rocked his world, and now he’s struggling to figure out his future. He can’t be distracted by the pretty nurse he seems to meet everywhere. Still, he can’t ignore the sparks that fly between them —or how she seems so desperate to get away from him. But the funny, sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous Saint is far too amazing to give up on—especially since she’s the only thing in his life that seems to make sense.
When Nash discovers the truth about their past, he realizes he may have lost her heart before he could even fight for it. Now, Saint has to decide: is Nash worth risking herself for all over again?
"Dear Nash (our main character, and hero),
I thought I really liked Rome, but now I like you even more!"
Ok...I'm getting a little carried away, but I think you guys know me well enough by now that I truly tell it like it is! This story was great, entertaining, and a true page turner.
Everyone lives very busy lives. So when you find a book that you are attached to, devoted to finishing, morning, noon and night, you have to talk about it. I have only one criticism that I will put out there very early to get it over with. The cover. The model representing Nash just didn't seem to fit the specific description that Jay Crownover provided in the novel. There were several features that she mentioned, permanent features at that, that just weren't there. So if you have a different opinion regarding the cover, just wait until you read the book. You know the feeling that you get when authors describe their characters. Feature after feature and your mind begins to visualize who the character is and who they stand for. That's what I did.
Nash is the 4th book of the Mark Men Series. No one lives a life that is perfect. Saint and Nash are both dealing with unwanted circumstances in their family lives. Confused about decisions on where to go next in life and who should be on that journey with them. What I love so much about Jay Crownover's writing style is that she really seems to pay very close attention to every single detail of her character's lives. Gosh, if she wasn't a writer, I almost feel she would be a character in her own books! Her acknowledgment pages really give the book another level of wow factor for me. She's writing with heart. She's creating a realistic world that readers can somehow relate to and make connections. Her books wouldn't be a Marked Men Series, if they didn't have emotions and passion. It has just the right amount. Not too much. It doesn't take over the storyline. The reader gets a little spicy hint here and there. But its the bigger picture that keeps me coming back for more. I love it Jay! Never, ever stop writing about your Marked Men! Keep the stories and their powerful characters coming!
