Sensational New York Times bestselling author Molly McAdams breaks bounds with this emotionally wrenching, heartbreakingly real New Adult novel of love, passion, guilt, honor, and infidelity.

Twenty-three year old Kamryn Cunningham has left behind a privileged, turbulent past for the anonymity of small-town life. Busy with her new bakery, she isn’t interested in hook-ups or fix-ups. Then she meets the very sexy, very married Brody. Though she can’t deny the pull between them, Kamryn isn’t a cheater and she’s not good at sharing.

Twenty-six year old Brody Saco may be married, but he isn’t happy. When his girlfriend got pregnant six years ago, he did the right thing . . . and he’s been paying for it ever since. Now, his marriage is nothing but a trap filled with hate, manipulation, and blame—the remnants of a tragedy that happened five years earlier. While he’s never broken his vows, he can’t stop the flood of emotion that meeting Kamryn unlocks.

Brought together by an intense heat that is impossible to resist, Brody and Kamryn share stolen moments and nights that end too soon. But is their love strong enough to bear the weight of Kamryn’s guilt? And is Brody strong enough to confront the pain of the past and finally break free of his conniving wife?

I finished this book in one night. I usually don't do that because I am always so tired to even read. This book had me pulled in from the first word on the page. It is well written and I loved the characters so much.

Kamryn has everything that you would want. She is only 23 and owns her own bakery. But there is another reason why she ran but she can't tell anybody because it will change her life forever. She pretty much gave up on guys until she meets her best friend husband brother. Brody is a guy that ended up getting his girlfriend pregnant and he ended up marrying her. Well things changed and their marriage isn't working.

Brody calls his brother and tells him that he is on his way over. When Kamryn is being chased by some guys she runs right into him. The feeling she gets from his is like she has known him forever. Brody has the same feelings for her. But neither one of them can do anything about it. Brody is married and Kamryn is not looking for a man. Ever since they have met they keep running into each other. Their feelings for each other keeps growing but they have to keep it a secret from everybody that they know or work with.

There is so much more I would love to tell you in this review but it would give the story away. I am crossing my fingers and my toes hoping the author writes a sequel to this book. I really want to see where the characters go from here.

  1. I like McAdams writing but I wasn't' sure about this one because the guy is already married. I might take a chance and go for it anyway.

  2. Ooh a book that keeps you up? It must be good! I hope things don't get too intense in this story because I am not for that kind of thing. But I do think this sounds like a good read regardless, and I might try it anyway!
