The debut of an emotionally charged and highly erotic contemporary romance trilogy, in which love and trust are the most dangerous games of all…This is an Adult romance novel recommended for ages 18+ due to sexual content and mature subject matter.
With a dark past that would have shattered most people, Evelyn “Scout” Keats is doing what no one in her bleak world thinks possible—getting off the streets and leaving her impoverished life behind. She’s a new maid at the luxurious Patras Hotel, and aims to keep her job no matter what. But that doesn’t mean she’s going to sacrifice her dignity, or let anyone into her heart. The risk of losing either is just too great.
When hotel tycoon Lucian Patras discovers Evelyn in a compromising position, he uses everything at his disposal to seduce her—a proposition that both surprises and frightens her.
Ignorant to her true circumstances, Lucian relentlessly pursues Scout as a prize to be won. But he is soon given an unforgettable lesson in love and sacrifice when he learns how far Scout has gone to gain her independence and discovers that there are some things money can never buy.
How I wish to be saved by a billionaire! Though the dream of being sweep off my feet by this imaginary character, it seems impossible to be realistic. Though I know Falling In story is fictional, I had a hard time believing the story. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t dislike Falling In… but the story moved rather fast that it was hard to believe in it. Within days of meeting Evelyn “Scout”, billionaire Lucian Patras requested of her service. Then within weeks, they fall in love – not even getting knowing much of each other. I had issues with this. Yes, I know. I am a lunatic.
Falling In is about Evelyn Keats but she goes by Scout. She is strong headed and determined to get off the street. Lying on her identity, she finds herself a job at a luxurious hotel. Within days of starting her new position as a maid, she is asked to clean Lucian Patras’ suite. Scout is stunned by the luxury of this room but is soon interrupted by a very complicated meeting with Lucian. Though she is shy and had a hard time trying to stay on her toes, Scout stood up for herself. I like her for this. She may not be educated but this girl knows better. The following day, Scout is requested to Lucian’s room and on their second meeting, Lucian proposition her to do the unexpected.
Let me start by saying that even though I had a hard time believing in the story, I did find myself enjoying it for numerous things. One, I loved Scout. Though shy and uneducated, this girl had class. Even if the proposition scared her to death and is the opportunity she needed to finally get off the street, she was willing to continue working. Not many will do this. She was independent. Two, Lucian was a bit harsh but he had a good heart. Overall, I did enjoy the story. It had the Pretty Woman type of feel with an exotic arrangement.
