A story of second chance love set between London and San Diego. Thirteen years ago Jonah Kennedy was one of America's top tennis players, whose six-foot-three bad-boy California looks won him hordes of female admirers. Thirteen years ago Claire Jackson, a fiery, aspiring artist from London, was the woman who stole his heart. But the two held a secret which tore them apart and sent Claire running back to England. They tried to move on. Claire married, had a child and became a successful TV personality. Jonah married, had a child and settled for life on the road. Thirteen years later and both divorced, their paths cross again. Their attraction is even deeper - they feel destined to be together. Claire's jealous ex, however, has other plans. Can Claire and Jonah hold on to their second chance at love or will their past secret haunt them for ever? After all, thirteen is only lucky for some.... Now is our Time is a standalone contemporary romance which features Anthony de Klerk from Jo Kessel's previous novel Lover in Law. There are also cameo appearances from Kate Middleton, Gwyneth Paltrow and Gordon Ramsey. Due to descriptive sex scenes, this book is not appropriate for younger readers.
Have you ever lost a loved one and wished you guys were still back together. Wish you never broken up and you still held that flame for them. Whenever you meet another man you always compare the guy to the one that you lost. Well that is what happened to Claire and Jonah. They broke up and Claire ended up leaving for England to get away from each other. Throughout the book they are always thinking about each other. Well thirteen years later they end up running into each other and that spark is still alive between them that they can't ignore it. They are both divorced and they just jump and go for it. But along the way there are obstacles with exes and they keep saying do we do this or not. When your reading this book you try to cheer them on in the relationship. Then something happens to them that breaks them up and they end up going their separate ways.
I really liked this book but there are so many important things in this book that I really don't want to mention because I want you to feel the love that these two share. Sometimes I wish I had something like this happen to me but it never did. That's why we have to live with the romantic stories in books.
