Wanted by the mafia, a new York City bike messenger escapes into the world of parkour after meeting a beautiful stranger.

When Tracers became available on DirecTV, this Taylor Lautner fan could not pass up the chance to see the film from the comforts of my home. I am happy to state the movie was pretty good. Much better than Lautner's 2011 film Abduction with Lily Collins.

At first I thought the movie would have similarities to 2012's Premium Rush that Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character is a bike messenger and runs into some trouble. But as Tracers played on, I could tell right away it was it's on entity. Yes Lautner plays a bike messenger named Cam, but after he runs into Nikki played by Marie Avgeropoulos, things are set into motion. Cam and Nikki are attracted to one another and this leads Nikki bringing Cam into her underground world of Parkour and what they utilize that art for.

Cam has no choice but to take part in the activities that Nikki and the rest of the crew partake in, because he owes some very bad folks a lot of money he doesn't have. And those bad folks are threatening not just Cam, but also the lovely lady he was renting her garage from and her child. Plus the new bike that Nikki gave Cam after messing his other bike, gets stolen and leaves Cam useless. A bike messenger lives because of his bike. So Cam welcomes the illegal activities.

Everything seems to be working out alright until Nikki falls from Cam, even though she is with Miller (Adam Rayner). Miller is the mastermind behind the operations and when he begins to get suspicious about Nikki and Cam, things start to go bad pretty fast. Folks will die and others will survive. Who is the strongest and smartest? You'll have to watch this action-packed movie to figure it out.

And a little side note, it really nice to see Taylor playing a grown up role and handling it so well and seeing that his athleticism is still on point!!!

  1. I am really looking forward to this movie. I am a bit weary as I love Taylor but was really disappointed in Abduction. I am glad you enjoyed the movie
