Sadie, Darcy, and Rosanna are living together in New York City the summer before their freshman year of college begins. With no parents, no rules, and an entire city to explore, these three girls are on the verge of the best summer of their lives.
Sadie is a native New Yorker. She is hopeful, romantic, and an eternal optimist who is ready to find her soul mate. Then she meets her dream boy: cute, funny, and quirky in all the right ways. The chemistry between them is unreal. Could he be the one?
Darcy is a free spirit from SoCal with rebellious tendencies and unlimited financial resources. Moving to New York City is just another adventure for her. Darcy wants this summer to be all about boy adventures—nothing serious. But how much fun is too much?
Rosanna leaves Chicago for NYC so she can put her past behind her and reinvent herself. The only thing standing in her way is the grand total of seventy-three cents she has saved. Then she meets a guy who wants to show her the glamorous side of New York—a side that she would never get to experience on her own. If Rosanna doesn't resist, she may find herself in city love.
Told from alternating points of view, City Love captures the moments in each girl's life when everything is thrilling, amazing, and terrifying all at once . . . in a way it will never be again.
3 girls, 2 new to New York, 1 native. All getting ready to start college, when 3 unexpected boys enter into their lifes. Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna are all very different from one another-and yet they are able to get along perfectly well. Austin, Jude and D are all different from their counterpart, and yet they are the perfect fit.
This story was actually really cute. I enjoyed Sadie and Austin's romance, it's the kind of romance I would hope to have one day. Which I would take to say that I am more like Sadie then like Darcy and Rosanna. A hopeless romantic who is able to romanticize pretty much anything! That's me!
While I give this a 2.5 trees rating I feel like this is more bias on my part. I have read so many romances within the last couple of weeks that I have gotten tired of the same story over, and over. Which to me, is pretty much what romances are. You can guess where they're going and what will happen next. So for lovers of romance, give this book a shot!
I was also a little disappointed in how the story developed. I had assumed that we would focus on the three girls' relationship with one another, rather than each of their separate relationships with these guys. Yes, I do love a good love story, but I LOVE a love story between friends (such as Frozen...who doesn't love Frozen? You can love your sister, or your friend, just as much as you can love your true love!)
