Sisters Moria and Ashyn are the Keeper and Seeker of Edgewood. Or at least, they were.

Their village is gone. Their friends have betrayed them. And now, the emperor has sent them on a mission to rescue the children of Edgewood—accompanied by Prince Tyrus and a small band of imperial warriors. But the journey proves more perilous than they could have imagined. With treachery and unrest mounting in the empire, Moria and Ashyn will have to draw on all their influence and power to overcome deadly enemies—not all of them human—and even avert an all-out war

Sisters living in a world where everything has changed. Sent on a new mission that should be easy, things prove to be more difficult than they plan. With very little people to trust, they must learn who is really there for them and who really isn't.

I usually love books like this, and it might have hindered this book that I was reading a different book at the same time. But this book just didn't captured me as I would have hoped. It is an interesting enough story, and it follows Sea Of Shadows well enough, but I just wasn't as intrigued by the story.

If you're a fan of the series, give it a shot. Just because I wasn't into it doesn't mean you won't be. And if you haven't read the first book definitely don't pick this up and start in the middle.
