Armed with two years' worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything. Except dying in Dublin. Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude.

Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. No one was supposed to get hurt. But then that American tourist showed up. He couldn't let her die, but he also couldn't risk being identified at the scene—so, he ran. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub. Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations. When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him. And how dangerous it is to have her around. Chasing her off would be the smart move.

Maybe it's because he saved her life, or maybe it's because he's completely different from everything she's left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone.

And River isn't the kind of guy she'd want to catch.

Another fantastic novel by the lovely K.A. Tucker! Chasing River delivers exactly what I’ve come to expect from K.A. Tucker. A well written, steamy and mysterious story with a swoony guy to drool over. Let’s not even begin with the chemistry between the main two characters. AND THE  STUNNING COVERS!

With Chasing River, Tucker does what most authors try to avoid - talk about politics and terrorism. Boy, I did not see that coming. Yet, it was very interesting to read how she made this story work. You have to read it to find out.

Clever enough, River is not the main female character. No, he is this sweet, mysterious and honest guy that saves Amber from getting blown away. Literally. He saves her from an “accident”. A well-planned action in which River was aware of. However, when he see Amber, he run over to her and prevents her death. But then he runs off. Why? You will have to find out on your own.

Chasing River was a bit darker compared to Burying Water. It had a lot of realistic and creepy aspect that I was not expecting. And all you want to do is find out the truth. Honestly, I enjoyed River’s POV more than I did with Amber’s. Even though one may think horrible things of River when one starts the story, you cannot help but wonder many things. He has an interesting background and his family are very complicated. Even with these complications, he is definitely a stronger character to me than Amber.

Overall, Chasing River was another great book by K.A. Tucker. It was dark, mysterious and romantic. Something I always expect from her and she never disappoints. I would recommend Chasing River to any of her fans and lovers of New Adults.
